Adult Sewing Course – Sewing Foundations Cohort
Have you always wanted to learn how to sew but didn’t know where to start?
Students leave the course with multiple completed sewing projects and the confidence to continue sewing at home.
The Sewing Foundations Cohort is a small-group beginner sewing course designed for adults who want to build real sewing skills in a supportive studio environment.
This 4-week course teaches the essential skills every sewist needs while guiding you through beginner-friendly projects you’ll be proud to take home.
Classes are intentionally kept small (maximum 5 students) so each participant receives hands-on guidance and support.
No experience is required.

What You Will Learn
During this 4-week course you will learn:
• How to confidently use a sewing machine
• Fabric basics and cutting techniques
• Seam construction and finishing
• How to read beginner sewing instructions
• Foundational skills needed for garment sewing and future projects
Students will complete multiple beginner sewing projects that build confidence and skill step by step.
Projects You Will Create
Students will complete the following beginner-friendly projects during the course:
• Tote Bag – learn straight seams, seam allowances, and fabric control
• Zipper Pouch / Makeup Bag – learn how to install a zipper and finish seams
• Pajama Shorts – learn garment construction, waist casing, and finishing techniques
• Bonus Skill Exercises as time allows
The first class session focuses on sewing machine basics, safety, and foundational sewing skills before beginning projects.
All sewing machines, tools, and materials are provided.
Project order may vary slightly based on class progress.

To celebrate the opening of the studio, the first Sewing Foundations Cohort is offered at the founding price of $199.
Future cohorts will increase in price as additional course levels and advanced classes are introduced.

The exact studio address will be provided to registered students after enrollment. Classes take place in the Northwest Houston / Cypress area near Jones Rd and FM 1960. This is a private studio location and the address is shared with enrolled students only.

Enrollment is strictly limited to maintain a high-quality learning experience.
Schedule Adjustments
The instructor reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to the class schedule if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.
Payment Policy
Full payment is required at the time of registration to reserve a seat in the course. Because class size is intentionally limited, registration secures one of a small number of available seats.
No Refund Policy
All registrations are final and non-refundable.
Student Cancellation / Credit Policy
If a student cannot attend, written notice at least 72 hours prior to the start of the class is required in order to receive a credit toward a future course or class of equal value. Credits are valid for a future session and are subject to availability.
Requests made less than 72 hours before class, failure to attend, or missed sessions are not eligible for credit or refund.
Minimum Enrollment Requirement
This course requires a minimum enrollment of five (5) students in order to run.
If the minimum enrollment is not met, or if the instructor must cancel the course for any reason, students will receive a full refund of the amount paid.
